The Global Party: Glamour For A Good Cause

Cairo’s best and brightest were on the scene at the beautiful Gabriel Hotel to celebrate charity and philanthropy at this year’s edition of The Global Party. The guests ate, drank, and were merry, all in the name of a good cause. Charities from all over the world, ranging from Shelter to Make-A-Wish to Cancer Research UK all stand to benefit from the huge generosity shown by the guests at this star-studded event, and a good time was had by all.

Cairo’s most glamorous residents, ranging from diplomats to designers and actors to artists, were whisked into the impeccably designed and decorated Salt, The Gabriel Hotel’s home of all things delicious and decadent, and were immediately handed a glass of champagne (boy, do they know the way to our hearts). Drinks of all kinds were available for Cairo’s exclusive set to wet their whistles on, and delicious canapés stacked high with all manner of sumptuous toppings travelled all over the room on gleaming silver trays.

Now, with a night as glamorous as this, the entertainment has to be just as glamorous, and they did not disappoint. With an all-star line-up of international entertainers, such as the golden-voiced Diana Miro, superstar DJs Alin Di and Mari Ferrari, and the sultry saxophonist Olaras leading, the party was rocking all night long.

Now, any one of these acts at a time would be more than enough for any party, so imagine our surprise and joy when we noticed Olaras herself make her way to the stage to start an amazing jam session with the hyper-talented DJ Alin Di.

All in all, it was a wonderful night of fun fuelled by the collective desire to help those less fortunate than us. While Cairo’s elite were drinking, dancing, and enjoying the night, they never forgot what brought them there in the first place.
