Ticket Prices Revealed for New Electric Train Lines

Daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly subscriptions are now available at reduced prices for the electric train lines operating through Greater Cairo.

The Cairo Light Railway Trains (LRT) stations were also equipped with free private parking spaces to attract private car owners to use public transportation. A train will now also be available every quarter of an hour, with more frequent stops during the morning and evening rush hours.

A three-stop trip now costs EGP 10, while a five-stop trip EGP 15. Any trip with more than seven stops costs EGP 20. Monthly subscriptions vary in price depending on the number of stations: a subscription for three stations costs EGP 300 per month, five stations EGP 500 per month, while a subscription for seven stations or more costs EGP 600 per month. You can also get annual subscriptions for two metro lines at EGP 2,760, and for three metro lines at EGP 3,465.
