Tuktuks are Now Banned in New Cairo
The New Cairo City Authority’s ban is already in effect, with a number of tuktuks having already been confiscated at the First District.

Tuktuks have always been a divisive topic throughout the streets of Egypt, but it appears that a verdict has been reached in New Cairo. Tuktuks are now banned from navigating New Cairo’s streets, according to a new decision issued by the New Cairo City Authority. The decision was made after a series of meetings between the New Cairo City Authority and the residents of the city.
The ban is currently in effect, with a number of tuktuks having already been confiscated at New Cairo’s First District.
