In light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Uber are teaming up with Baheya Hospital for Early Detection and Treatment of Women’s Cancer to help raise awareness and play a very active, mobile role in the fight against breast cancer, offering free Uber rides to and from Baheya Hospital to encourage riders to schedule check-up appointments, learn more about preventative measures and, to say the least, check out their facilities and support their community.

'El Marad El We7esh' (The Evil Disease) as dubbed by many superstitious Egyptians, breast cancer is a delicate matter for females across the country who believe addressing the issue stems from a pessimistic point of view, however, addressing the issue has never been more common as more and more women are ready to face the challenge and help reduce their risk of breast cancer. Now with the help of Uber, women can leave their transportation troubles behind and simply free their schedule for a trip to Baheya Hospital, with the promo code UBERFORBAHEYA.

Baheya Hospital is the first free breast cancer specialised hospital, established March 2015 and inaugurated in the memory of the late Baheya Wahby, wife of Eng. Hussein Ahmed Othman, who passed away from breast cancer.

If you don’t already know or have the Uber app, download it, simply enter the promo code in the promotions menu of the app. Once successfully applied, you will have two trips with up to LE70 off each trip, to and from Baheya Hospital, located at 4 Aloba Street, Al Haram, Giza. Open Saturday to Thursday, from 9am to 5pm. Offer with Uber valid now until Nov 30th, 2015. Think pink and take the ride. Best of luck from Cairo Scene team - we ourselves went and got checked earlier this year, and it's a burden off your back when you get a clean bill of health! And don't be surprised to see pink cars roaming the digital streets of Uber since they're turning all the cars you see on the app into the rosy hue!
