The University of Assiut's new marine biology research lab will be dedicated to monitoring health threats and population growth for aquatic life.

University of Assiut is opening up a brand new research lab for the study of marine biology with a budget of EGP 10 million. This lab will keep track of the diseases and health threats that marine animals and sea life face, and find ways to double the population of aquatic life in our seas and lakes.
