Upper Egypt Open Water Swimming Championship Makes a Splash in Aswan
For the first time in 40 years, the swimming championship is taking place in Aswan.
For the first time in 40 years, the Upper Egypt Open Water Swimming Championship is taking place in Aswan. Over 140 athletes from across the governorate are taking part in the event, swimming down the Nile alongside the National Open Water Team.
The Upper Egypt Open Water Championship is a collaboration between the Aswan governorate and Egypt’s National Swimming Federation, and is part of the national celebration of Egypt’s historic 6th of October victory.
