Video: Emirati Singer Hussein Al Jassmi Sings for Peace in New Emotional Anti-Terrorism Ad
The surprisingly emotional ad from Kuwaiti mobile operator Zain made its debut in Ramadan and had millions talking.
A surprisingly emotional yet uplifting video from the Kuwaiti telecom company Zain has gone viral after debuting in the holy month of Ramadan, featuring Emirati singer Hussein El Jassmi, in an effort to go against terrorism.
Terrorism is still a growing threat given the efforts of radical groups such as ISIS, calling for nations across the world to combat it. The video comes at the heels of the recent bombings in Manchester Arena, Baghdad, and Minya, claiming the lives of over 70 civilians. According to Forbes, many Arab nations are the most affected by terrorism, such as Iraq and Libya, as per a study on terrorism around the world in 2015.
The video is clearly against the vile epidemic that is terrorism and deals with it by inspiring people to tolerate, rather than hurt, others, and to remember that mercy and compassion are key parts of religion, and not violence and hate.
The singing was accompanied by a number of portrayed victims rectifying a terrorist’s words as he gears up to launch an attack against innocents in different scenarios. Sometimes, real life survivors of attacks were featured, adding a very real element to the video.
