Video: Islamic Televangelist Claims Masturbation Leads To Pregnant Hands in the Afterlife

Social media is having a massive laugh at the expense of Turkish Islamic televangelist, Mücahid Cihad Han, who appeared on TV to claim that any many who masturbates will find his hands “pregnant in the afterlife."

On May 24^th, Istanbul-based televangelist appeared on 2000TV to answer questions about Islam for concerned or confused Muslims looking for clarity. Calling into the live TV programme, one of the viewers confessed that, although married, he keeps masturbating, even during Umrah.

Looking to clarify the matter the Mücahid points out that masturbation is haram, which most Muslims should know, but what many may not know is the punishment for doing so. According to Han, “Moreover, one hadith states that those who have sexual intercourse with their hands will find their hands pregnant in the afterlife, complaining against them to God over (their) rights,” he said, referring to what he claimed was a saying of Prophet Mohammed.

Instead of giving the expected answer, the supposed spiritual leader claims the Prophet made this absurd statement. Misquoting or misinterpreting the prophets words seems like it would be more haram than rubbing one off.

“Istimna” the Arabic term for masturbation is a controversial issue in Islam. The Quran has no clear reference to masturbation and the authenticity of some hadiths has been questioned by experts.

We can’t imagine anyone will truly believe this, but if they do we recommend buying stock in latex gloves company. As one could imagine this absurd ‘fatwa’ led to some hilarious backlash on social media.
