World Famous French Pâtisserie Pierre Hermé Lands in Riyadh
Now open at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre, the exclusive boutique is offering edible museum-worthy wonders.
What’s that sweet heavenly scent spreading throughout the Kingdom’s capital you may wonder? Well, it seems that world famous French pastry house Pierre Hermé Paris has expanded its operations to the Middle East with a brand new boutique at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh at Kingdom Centre. The upscale pâtisserie, renowned globally for its intricately crafted confections, selected the capital city's luxury Four Seasons property for its regional debut.
Located in the hotel's lobby, the boutique has just opened its sweet Parisienne doors. Styled as a calm, art gallery-like space with subtle marble accents, the new Pierre Hermé offers a curated selection of Pierre Hermé's signature selections behind gleaming glass cabinets. Macarons, tarts and cakes are displayed like miniature works of art for the discerning sweet-tooths.
Patrons of the new boutique can expect an array of delicate creations representing the best of Pierre Hermé's repertoire, signatures like the Ispahan macaron blend rose petal cream with fresh raspberries and lychees for a pretty pink treat. Flavours from around the globe are also featured, with the ‘Infiniment Vanille’ shortbread incorporating three varieties of vanilla from Tahiti, Mexico and Madagascar. Seasonal specials rotate alongside an assortment of cakes and chocolates, perfect as showpieces for any occasion.
Overseeing the new Saudi Pierre Hermé is Executive Pastry Chef Steve Thiery, a 15-year veteran of five-star kitchens across France, Morocco and French Polynesia. Known as the ‘Picasso of Pastry’, founder Pierre Hermé has attained a cult following for his harmonious blend of traditional technique with modern flavour profiles and textures.
With this launch, Riyadh has marked another step in its evolution as a cosmopolitan tourist and business destination. For visiting gastronomes and discerning locals, this new boutique offers a polished one-stop-shop to experience globally renowned patisserie art in the heart of the Saudi capital, open daily from 10 AM to 11 PM.
