You Can Soon Catch Up With COP27 Through New Website & App

The mobile app is planned for use by organisers working behind the scenes of the conference, although talks between the ministries brought up the possibility of an app for visitors to the conference.

The Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology are joining forces to create a new website and mobile app for the upcoming COP27 UN Climate Change Conference in Sharm El Sheikh, when representatives from the world's governments will gather to discuss their ambitions and obligations to international agreements such as the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Climate Agreement. The mobile app is planned for use by organisers working behind the scenes of the conference, although talks between the ministries brought up the possibility of an app for visitors to the conference to use.

This is just the latest in a line of preparations for this global event, which includes the conversion of public cars and buses across Sharm El Sheikh to natural gas, and requiring all hotels in the resort town to earn green certificates in order to continue operation.
