Zaywa Cinema Screens ‘Hob El Banat’ on Valentine's Day

Hazem and Ghada are back on the silver screen! Classic Egyptian romantic comedy ‘Hob El Banat’ is back in movie theatres, 20 years after its release, at Zawya Cinema in celebration of Valentine’s Day. On February 14th, Zawya will also be hosting the film’s screenwriter Tamer Habib in an open discussion following the screening.
Produced in 2004, ‘Hob El Banat’ revolves around three half-sisters - Ghada, Roqayya, and Nada - who grew up apart and were forced to come together upon their father's death. Suffering through rage and grief due to complicated relationships with their deceased father, the sisters acclimate to life together, getting to know each other, and finding love along the way. The film stars Laila Elwi, Hanan Turk, Ashraf Abdel Baqi, Khaled Abul Naga, Ahmed Ezz, Hana Shiha, and Ahmed Barrada and was directed by Khaled El Hagar.
