The distributors are preparing to take legal action against major pirates who violate their broadcasting rights.

The UEFA Champions League and the CAF Champions League are coming up this week which naturally has sports fans across Egypt hyped up to watch the action, and for most of them it's merely a question of how they're going to watch it. As the holders of these competitions' exclusive broadcasting rights in the Middle East and North Africa through their flagship sports channel beIN Sports, beIN Media Group and its partner Cable Network Egypt are narrowing down those options - specifically the ones that are literally illegal.

The distributors are preparing to take legal action against major pirates who violate their broadcasting rights, issuing a final warning to any entity that is currently or planning to engage in such infringements. According to beIN and CNE, such acts of piracy threaten the quality and range of content that broadcasters of all levels can offer, threatening the capacity for local distributors to have access to such content.
