Egypt to Host Women Economic Forum Event in 2020

President of the National Council for Women (NCW), Dr. Maya Morsi, has announced that Egypt will be hosting the next session of the Women Economic Forum (WEF) in March 2020.

According to Dr. Harbin Arora, founder and executive president of WEF, the decision came after Morsi attended the 25th WEF in India in 2019.

The President of the Council explained that the idea of the forum began in 2015 through the Union of Females in India. The forum boasts 100,000 members from 150 countries, and is intended to empower women as well as establish and reinforce communication among women internationally, through opening up a space for innovative and entrepreneurial collaborations.

The WEF has already been hosted by several countries including the United States, Canada, Tunisia, Morocco, Colombia, Mexico, Portugal, and Slovenia.
