Beautiful Hurghada is the 8th Most Beloved Summer Sojourn for Germans

In another turn of positive news for Egypt's now-booming tourism sector, a poll from Touristik Union International, the world's largest travel and tourism company, placed Hurghada on their top ten summer destinations list of 2018, nestled squarely at 8th place.

Hurghada had quite the competition to contend with, as on that same list were Spain's Mallorca and Canary Islands (along with Spain itself), Turkey's Antalya, Crete, Rhodes Island and Greece's Kos Island.

German tourism to the Red Sea governorate has been quite healthy as of late, with over 131,000 German tourists visited Hurghada in August alone. Another boom in tourism is expected in the coming winter of 2018/19, owing to a large number of confirmed bookings from several international travel agencies.
