Sharm El Sheikh’s First Evangelical Church Will Include Tourist-Friendly Museum and Library

Officials have confirmed the construction of Sharm El Sheikh’s first Evangelical Church, with work beginning this week on a complex that will also act as a tourist attraction and provide other facilities to the Red Sea town, according to Egypt Today.

Although details of some of the facilities have yet to be disclosed, President of the Protestant Community of Egypt, Andrea Zaki, revealed that the church will also provide ‘clinics and a training centre’.

More interestingly, however, is that the complex will also include a museum and a library, with the former offering displays about Ancient Egypt, the culture surrounding the church and various other relevant religious institutions around Egypt.

It all comes as part of what Zaki describes as an aim to serve all sectors of the community, while also contributing to the revival of tourism in Sharm El Sheikh.
