Did You Know It's Blueberry Cheesecake Day?
I bet you don't even know who the genius behind the invention of cheese cake is. Do you?
How many times do we really stop to think about the value of each element in our lives? More often than not, we humans take things for granted and we forget that all we enjoy as a luxury now was someone’s hardship one day. I know that I may sound a little over the top with this, but I am actually being dead serious. When we wake up in the morning, walk to the bathroom, and turn on the tap to wash our faces, we never even stop for a second to think that this is a luxury worthy of our respect because, sometime in the past, someone decided to do something great for humanity. You don't need to have superpowers to be a hero or a saviour. Let me tell you a little secret: I discovered one historical hero that we have never given proper respect to or even shown any form of gratitude. A hero that lived long before our time, all the way back in 700 BC.
Khalas, se3ebto 3alaya; I'll just say it. The hero that we owe our very happiness to is…. the great Aegimus. Don't worry, I won’t judge you for not knowing who he is, I only found out about him recently too. According to Callimachus, Aegimus is the first man ever (in recorded history) to develop a recipe for cheesecake. This is the part where you stand up and give this man a round of applause. It's a shame that this internationally adored dessert is taken for granted to the extent that we do not even know where it originally came from. Well, on behalf of humanity, you have our deepest and most sincere gratitude, Aegimus. Because of you, happiness exists in deliciously edible form.
Now many of you might not know this, but today is actually Blueberry Cheesecake Day. Yeah, the specificity caught us off guard too. But it's cheesecake, and I don't care how absurd the day is – I'm celebrating! Now where – oh ,where – can we get a deliciously delectable blueberry cheesecake to celebrate and give true respect to the great Aegimus? Personally, I'm going for the masters of sweets and desserts in the country: Delight. They are one of the most talented dessert makers around, and they deliver any kind of dessert wherever you are.
I called. I ordered. They delivered. We devoured.
