Divine Cakes and Bakes: A Little Slice of Heaven
You can't walk in to someone's house without a cake or gateaux - 3eib! But then again, you walk in with something from La Poire and find that Taunt Madiha came in 10 minutes before you with the exact same cake. Of course she did. Now you can show Taunt Madiha who's boss with a kick-ass cake from Divine Cakes & Bakes, whose cakes look as good as they taste.

Every girl aspires to be as great of a culinary artist as her mother; Nelly Kamal of Divine Cakes & Bakes is no exception. Growing up with a mother who loved to bake and whose kitchen always smelled of baked goodies, it's no surprise that Kamal fell in love with baking at an early age and credits her mother as her biggest inspiration. "It started with a cake I made for my sister's birthday," Kamal tells us, "It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, so I started studying and practicing and I got more confident with every cake I made."

With personalised cakes for every occasion, Divine Cakes & Bakes will cater to events of every kind, from birthdays and small gatherings to engagements and weddings. "I think the beauty of a custom cake company is that I cater for individual needs, so it's more personal and versatile," Kamal tells of her company. Two years into the cake-baking business, Kamal has expanded beyond the world of cakes and into the realm of baked goods. Brownies, muffins, cupcakes - you name it, she makes it.

Unique to Divine Cakes & Bakes is the quality of the cakes. "I believe in making cakes that I wouldn't hesitate to feed my children, and I'm a very fussy mum!" Kamal tells us of the quality of her ingredients. "I also don't accept many orders in the same week; I believe in giving each cake the time and dedication it needs to create a masterpiece."

The only problem with Divine Cakes & Bakes' creations, we think, is that they look way too good to eat. Yum!
