Just when you think people can't possibly get any more innovative or creative when it comes to the world of treats, someone comes up and proves you entirely wrong. We can hear you thinking ‘Oh no, I was just about to watch my diet!’ To that indignant exclamation, we have two responses. First, life’s too short to miss out on treats. Second, and more importantly, Doux’s Treats can actually fit your plan because they are lighter than usual with none of that taste bud killing vegan based nonsense! They are light because they are mostly Rice Krispies based, building up the bulk of the dessert then topping it off with strong flavours ranging from chocolate to m&ms to Oreos, to endless varieties that can beat your imagination.

You get your sugar or sweet tooth fix, without piling on heavy calories. They even have lighter versions of the already light desserts for those who are very strict and they are as yummy as ever!

All we can say is - since we can’t physically present you with a piece through the website - imagine that initial crunch as you take a bite, then your teeth surpass the crunch and enter a nice and gooey phase that oozes out that sugary kick, then the topping hits your palate and you’re in sweet heaven. Your mind doesn’t care about determining what it is processing from an M&M crunch to a peanut butter kick; what it cares about is that it will be elated, satisfied, and the spot will be hit. All this, absolutely guilt free. Well relatively anyway.

Doux Treats are found at bazaars usually but you don’t have to wait for one to get your fix. All you need to do is visit their Facebook page, and drop them a message with your order or e-mail them.

If for some reason you are not clear on what the fuss is about exactly just check out the photos on Instagram @douxtreats, and everything will fall sweetly in place. Knock yourselves out.
