Homemade Ice Cream, Anyone?

Adults are supposed to eat their vegetables. Kids? Kids get to learn how to make their own homemade ice cream at the Eatery. C'est la vie.

Homemade Ice Cream, Anyone?

Growing up is all about taking responsibility for yourself, getting your ducks in a row, and figuring out how to win the race against time with your metabolism. Well, those are the important elements anyway. Gone are the days of colouring outside the lines, playing outside and getting dirty, and eating ice cream cones with 3/4 of our faces and then tossing on a big ice-cream-smothered grin – well, for most of us, anyway. And while we'd love to tell you that Cairo's favourite eatery/cooking school will let your not-so-inner-child partake in their upcoming ice cream class, this one's for the real kiddos only.

Raising a family is one of those tough big-kid responsibilities we deal with as adults; Eatery is making parenting a little easier on the 21st of May for all the mommies and daddies who are quickly running out of ideas to keep their kids entertained (we've got a few ideas for you, too). With a unique spin on parent-child quality bonding time, there is no harm in taking your kid to a cooking class at the Cairo’s favourite cooking school where they can learn how to make homemade ice cream. It's only going to set you back 250 LE, and we'll wager our bets that you can probably sneak in a spoonful or two while your child isn't looking. My, how the tables have turned.

Think of it – you send your kids to school, put them through college, feed them, and put a roof over their heads; the least they can do is pay you back for it with endless homemade ice cream. Ice cream in bed, maybe?
