Indulge in the Taste of Tokyo at this Adorable Sodic West Food Truck

Midday blues got you feeling like you want to escape into the slightly obnoxiously cute phone wallpaper you’ve had since 2019? SODIC West’s Sando Haus has got you covered with a Japanese lunching and munching experience that teleports you directly to Tokyo’s sakura cafes from the heart of Cairo.

Like a scene from a Studio Ghibli film, Sando Haus is an embodiment of Hayao Mizayaki’s most fevered daydreams: so adorable you want to eat it. Luckily, though, this time you actually can; the eatery serves an extensive menu of lighthearted meals that serve as either an appetising snack or a stem-winding lunch.

Whilst sandwich-oriented, Sando Haus honours the full grain, offering rice-based options for all of their toppings. Whether you decide to have your panko South African beef fillet and tangy-sweet tonkatsu between two creamy slices of milk bread or on a less gluten-filled bowl of meticulously seasoned jasmine rice, lunch at Sando Haus is a feat to remember.  To make matters worse, the spot crafts excellent boba. Chewy, delicious and entirely free of sog, Sando Haus’ bubble tea is an ideal cooler to sip on with your teriyaki.
