Meatmoot Slow Smokes Meat for Up to 24 Hours
Four owners put their heads together and decided to launch Meatmoot in Egypt to bring the authentic flavours to Cairenes.
Just scrolling through Meatmoot's Instagram makes our mouths water. The restaurant, located in Sheikh Zayed, offers everything from lamb shoulder, smoked ribs (that melt like butter), slow-smoked Tomahawk, and when we say slow-smoked, we mean up to 24 hours slow-smoked. We haven't even delved into the brisket yet!
This Tomahawk from Meatmoot is to die for
Four owners put their heads together and decided to launch Meatmoot in Egypt to bring the authentic flavours to Cairenes. Those four owners include actor Ahmed Famy, along with Ahmed El Sawy, Hany El Fekky, and Mohamed Hashem. Meatmoot is originally Turkish, but it also has branches in Jordan and Kuwait. With a new branch set to open in Sahel, Meatmoot prides itself upon offering a piece of meat that is low in fat percentage, cooked and marinated with care. From where we stand, it invites you to bite into it upon sight.
They smoke their meat for up to 24 hours
"People say that all the places they go to, they find a fat percentage," shared hostess Mariam Ibrahim. "They expect to find that here but are often surprised to see that the fat percentage is very minimal. A different taste as well. You won't find this smoked beef anywhere else in Cairo."
Their brisket looks unreal
Meatmoot has two categories; beef and lamb. On the menu, you'll find beef brisket, short ribs, Tomahawk, and mozza. As for lamb, they offer neck, shoulder, ribs, and mozza. And guess what? All the sides (except for drinks apart from tea) are refillable! Rest assured that you can have as many rice and salad sides until your belly is filled to the brim.
