Bringing the saccharine to Saudi Arabia, Egypt’s popular pasty shop Simonds is traversing the Red Sea.
From Friday family dinners to festive Ramadan nights, Simonds is a pillar of every Egyptian household. Satiating all our sugary needs and flaky desires, the long-cherished patisserie has been serving Cairenes faithfully since 1898.And now, 125 years later, Simonds is getting ready to take on the global saccharine scene and inaugurate their first-ever overseas branch. Bringing its baked goodies and oriental creations, Simonds is traversing the Red Sea and settling on the other side in Saudi Arabia.
The patisseries just announced their plans to open soon, albeit with no other details. So, let that auntie living in Saudi Arabia know she won’t have to take a three hour flight to feast on her favorite petit four anymore.
