A coalition of the polished and the whimsical, Electra playfully blends traditional metal designs with unconventional resin stones, showcasing a harmonious exposition of colour.
Sustainable jewellery brand Jude Benhalim has just dropped their latest collection ‘Electra’ - a mythologically entrenched ode to Ancient Greek motifs. Comprising an array of necklaces, collars, earrings, bracelets, and rings, ‘Electra’ pairs the coveted brands’ signature dexterity with fresh silhouettes brought on by newly-incorporated production processes.
“Through exploring paradoxes and opposing elements for this collection, I really leaned into the mismatches and from there found slivers of harmony that resounded into what can only be described as electric,” Benhalim tells SceneStyled. “I began to see tugs of war all around me, I wanted to see what would happen if instead of splitting opposites and having one rule the other, we clashed them together and this is what this collection represents.”
A coalition of the polished and the whimsical, Electra playfully blends traditional metal designs with unconventional resin stones, showcasing a harmonious exposition of colour. The granulated metals add a modernised twist to Behnalims’ already bold designs and through creating dimension, the pieces captivatingly pick up and disperse light.
With the push and pull of these elements, which manage to merge seamlessly in defiance of all expectations, Electra serves as a microcosm for the world’s ever-present duality.
