Forget sunglass models staring off into the distance, we teamed up with the fabulous folks at C&Co. to capture the looks for #WhenGirlfriendThink she...
For far too long, ads for a flurry of designer sunglasses have repetitively featured models with pouty lips and poreless skin – who make you feel really bad about yourself – staring into what you must assume is the distance but you can't really tell because they have some ultra-glam giant dark-glassed shades covering their eyes. Every sunglasses ad in the history of sunglasses has pretty much been the exact same, just a carousal of genetically superior females staring at stuff and making us question our skincare routine with their goddam poreless skin.
Except sunglass giant C&Co., curator of shades from a myriad of powerhouse design brands, decided not to opt for the standard stop-and-stare model combo. We teamed up with the style mavens, who decided to forgo models altogether and create a quirky, fun, accessory-laden #WhenGirlfriendThink shoot. And it's awesome. Sometimes girlfriend think she at Coachella, sometimes she think she Om Kalthoum. You are neither. But it's fun pretending. Take a look at all the shots below.
