Is Samsung About to Double Your Battery Life?
Through a graphene-coating technique Samsung's Research and Development department, claims to have discovered a way to seriously increase battery life...
Samsung's Research and Development department discovered a new way of crafting batteries to last almost double the time they do today. The technology discovered makes batteries denser through coating it with graphene, instead of making it larger which isn’t an option as consumers look for slimmer and more stylish devices.
This battery technology is expected to double battery life. So, if your S6 lasts almost 9 hours under heavy-usage, it will last 18 hours straight. Compared to the very big phones like the Huawei Mate 7 and iPhone 6 plus that use relatively large bodies specifically for bigger screens and batteries, this is a major breakthrough.
It will take some time before consumer devices start using this, as it is still a prototype but it marks some serious developments in the industry.
