'Tis the season to generally screw your diet and just give in to the calories and get fat. Listen, if Santa has taught us anything, it’s that it's perfectly acceptable – even lovable – to have a giant belly. You can deal with the weight come summer.
Now we may not get snow in our desert climate but we sure as hell get awesome desserts. And that’s more important anyway. Dessert darlings across the city have started rolling out their season-appropriate sweets, and yes, we’re suckers for reindeer-themed cupcakes. So sue us. You know they’re cute. So in the spirit of festive rushes, here at eight awesomely adorbs Christmas-themed desserts. Does oohing and aahing over these make us basic bitches? Maybe. Do we give a crap? No, Christmas is on our side.
The Batter Half & Co just won Christmas with their adorbs Reindeer Chocolate Balls. Everyone else go hide under a table in shame. Pretzels as antlers. We love it. You win.
The original cupcake kings of the city Nola’s have obviously gotten in on the festive spirit with typical but totally on-point and undeniably cute mistletoe cupcakes. Yes, we may not be getting to kiss a tall handsome stranger under real mistletoe this year but we will walk around with our cupcake and force people to kiss us.
It’s a SANTA CAKE POP. He has a giant nose and it is adorable. Coppermelt, this is damn cute.
You cannot go wrong with Christmas cookies. And Café Supreme has all of them. Although Shrek did change the way we look at gingerbread men… But we will still eat them with gusto.
Carousel has the next best thing after snow. Screw snow altogether, their winter wonderland cake is covered in white fondant and buttercream. Our hearts are melting. Just like the Grinch.
It’s an elf riding a polar bear. Well played, Dina Cantina; it’s like an acid trip Xmas cake.
For the classier humans of the city, Tortina’s got a delicious looking Bûche Marron that looks like it was stolen right out of The Snow Queen’s castle.
