All Aboard! Hurghada Boat Charters is Offering a Different Kind of Red Sea Experience

If you’ve ever had the desire to just pick your bags up and go spend a few days at sea, away from everything and everyone, this would be perfect for you.

Equipped with a variety of boats to rent out, Hurghada Boat Charters offer both still and moving experiences from fishing to snorkeling to diving - for parties of 1 - 24, depending on the boat you choose. Charters for when you and your friends want to spend the night, and private boats if you want to escape solo, they’ve got you covered.

Hurghada Boat Charters was founded in 2010 by German renowned sailor and worldwide single-handed ocean racer Alfred Raima, aiming to revolutionize and localize the concept of the floating home.

So instead of checking into a hotel and going for a night or two at sea, you get picked up from the airport and taken straight to your (not so) humble abode.

With Raima based in Germany, the Hurghada headquarter-marina is run by Sherif Ibrahim. Expanding exponentially in just nine years, they are now in possession of 54 different charter boats, private fishing boats and diving safari boats. The boats’ owners give the company their boats to rent out for them, and so that explains the names and different interiors of the boats.

All boats come with a captain, a professional cook and a crew and experiences range from safari trips to trips along the North and South Coasts of the Sinai Peninsula. One of their popular diving trips, North of Hurghada and along the South of Sinai passes through Ras Mohamed, Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab and then ends at Taba, and doing that in one day could cost you up to EUR1500, making it the most expensive package offered. You can cater your trip according to your travel plans to choose a drop-off point, but the trips all start in Hurghada. The Northern island trip goes from Hurghada to Safaga, Marsa Alam, Hamata and back to Hurghada and could cost you up to EUR1200.

With their most popular season beginning in October, their day trips accustomed to approximately four people, starting at 9AM and back at 4.30PM can cost the group EUR500, with an open buffet dinner costing an extra EUR10 and soft drinks available all day. For overnight fishing trips, the trip moves at 3.30PM and gets back at 7AM the next day, and costs EUR500 including a fresh fish dinner - straight from your hook to the grill.
