Banque Misr Launches 'Egyptian Sports Fund' to Develop Local Talent

After receiving EGP 51 million in funds from local and regional lenders, Banque Misr has launched the ‘Egyptian Sports Fund’ to support various sports entities across the country such as sports clubs and youth centres, and to lend their assistance to Olympic athletes and national teams in cooperation with the Egyptian Sports Federation.

The fund seeks to collect and invest funds to prop up Egypt’s sports renaissance through a planned protocol to reach the highest levels of global athletic excellence. It’ll help organisations take on all parts of the process, including the training of technicians and the financing of training courses, especially for Olympic athletes.
