The specialised course provides an interdisciplinary approach with professors from the fields of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Sociology.

After the first batch of graduates of the diploma in prevention and treatment of drug addiction demonstrated impressive results, the Ministry of Social Solidarity has announced that a general professional diploma will be on offer at Cairo University in the 2021/22 academic year to prepare students to work in combating drug addiction.

The specialised course provides an interdisciplinary approach with professors from the fields of Psychology, Psychiatry, and Sociology, and allows students to treat individuals with substance addiction from a complete scientific perspective.

With a 300-hour practical training, the course hopes to prepare students with the tools of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.
