Kiki Beautique Kicks Off Makeup Workshops

As soon as Kiki Ismail announced the opening of his Kiki Beautique studio, we knew he was up to something big. Still on his path of propelling the beauty industry forward, Cairo’s indisputable king of makeup has just announced his first series of makeup workshops.

The workshops are set to cover a variety of topics ranging from skin cleansing routine and dealing with different skin types, to choosing the right foundation and products for each complexion, to the more sophisticated tricks of the trade, such as “one and two eye shadow techniques,” eyebrow drawing, and kohl, eyeliner, and liquid liner techniques.

The studio, located right in front of the Nile on Agouza’s Corniche, is a stylish boho-chic shelter for makeup artists and addicts trying to make their way in an incipient but rapidly evolving makeup industry. The courses will have a limited number of students, as Ismail puts a careful focus on the personal relation between the artist and his human canvas.

“People have been asking me for classes for a long time. I want to transfer this experience and know-how to the Egyptian market and shed some light on the do’s and don’ts,” he told us in an interview recently, as he announced the launch of his beauty hub. Having studied in New York and worked with iconic names such as the likes of Cara Delevingne and Liu Wen, Kiki jumped to fame as soon as he landed in Cairo, not only raising the bar in the national fashion and beauty scene, but also coming up with groundbreaking projects such Urban Beards
