Luxor Launches First Phase of Children's University Programme

Luxor University has inaugurated the Children’s University Program, its newest youth development project. Held in cooperation with the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology at the Faculty of Fine Arts, students can attend the Children's University for free, as Luxor University and the Academy of Scientific Research bear the tuition fees.

The Children’s University hopes to connect its students and any exemplary talents to specialists at the university to help polish their skillset. The programme will cover all disciplines such as medicine, entrepreneurship, culture, Egyptology, archeology, computer science, fine arts, among others.

50 students as young as nine years old have joined the first stage of the Children’s University Program. These students will study all disciplines in the first two years and will then be allocated to a speciality based on their personal talents, which they will study until the age of 15. The students will visit a different faculty every day to familiarise themselves with them, before going on to study in the laboratories and research centres.
