Maadi New Year: Take Three
Yes, we know it wasn't in Maadi, but the infamous party took the Dusit Thani hotel by storm, kicking off 2014 with a bang.
As expected of the Maadi New Year Party: Take 3, the legendary party pulled out all the stops to ring in 2014 with a massive extravaganza. What was supposed to be an exclusively Maadi residents gathering turned into one of the biggest parties this New Year’s seen, with a laid-back dress code, high spirits and, importantly free bouchon. Hosted in mega-hotel franchise Dusit Thani, the gorgeous establishment was packed to the brim, overflowing with Cairo’s young and beautiful party animals, feasting on the infinitely delicious sushi bar, pouring drinks non-stop and dancing till the sun came up.
The 1900+ attendees were treated to a slew of entertainment segments, organised by Amr Abdou and Amr Hamed, ranging from Nour on the saxophone, Azmi on the violin, a mesmerising fireworks show by Samy and a dash of vivacious fun with belly dancer Maya and a crew of gogo dancers! What was even more amazing were the sponsors on deck: Coca-Cola were feeling quite generous and gifting the crowds with give aways, while Pace E Luce were tending to the ladies, turning a suite into a makeshift beauty salon, grooming and preparing them for the evening ahead at a 25% discount. Meanwhile, Alcatel gave away their latest tablet, and two sexy smartphones, while Alex Bank were plying guests with office supplies to see them through to next year’s big bash.
It’s safe to say that this party started the year out with quite a bang, and party organisers will have big shoes to fill for the year to come. 2014 is already shaping up to be the year of high standards and extravagant eloquence.
