The Capital Library, which is still under construction in the New Administrative Capital's City of Arts & Culture, will be able to hold over five million books for patrons to browse through. It currently contains 70,000 books, including original copies of 'Description de l'Egypte', a rare and comprehensive catalog of Egyptian culture and natural history from the early 1800s. The library will also boast an advanced digital service that will allow patrons to borrow electronic books easily and conveniently.

Covering 127 feddans, the City of Arts & Culture is an ambitious sector of the New Administrative Capital, which will feature the New Administrative Capital Museum and several theatres, cinemas and galleries. It is anticipated to be the largest centre for arts and culture in the Middle East.
