Spring Has Sprung At The Westown Hub Spring Festival

A family friendly adventure to Sheikh Zayed for SODIC's celebration of all things springtime sounds lovely right about now.

Staff Writer
Ah, springtime in Egypt. The beautiful change of the seasons when– well, actually, it’s kind of hard to tell winter and springtime apart, really. It’s only warmer by a couple of degrees, and there’s not much vegetation that blooms. If it wasn’t for the calendar apps on our phones then we’re not sure we would notice if anything really changed. Thankfully, there’s the Westown Hub Spring Festival to let everyone know that spring has officially sprung.

On April 15th at 12 PM, SODIC's Westown Hub in Sheikh Zayed will be host to hundreds of Egyptian families, all looking to shake off the last of their winter blues. Those looking for an aesthetically pleasing afternoon escape will marvel at their elaborate spring-themed entrances that will guide you in.

Families with kids, or kids-at-heart, have endless options for fun with confetti butterfly hunts and all sorts of arts and crafts happenings, with a sprawling picnic area for breaks between all the excitement.

Several bands and DJs will be providing a soundtrack to the whole day, and a variety of 50 vendors will be set up in the market, slinging all kinds of wares you could be looking for. Well, almost every kind.
