Unvaccinated Government Workers Will Not Receive Salaries
After a certain date - which has yet to be announced - government employees who have not been vaccinated will not be allowed into the workplace or receive their salaries.
Egyptian state employees who have not yet received the COVID-19 vaccine will not be allowed into their workplaces nor receive their salaries after a certain date, which has not been announced yet.
Until that date is decided, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has asked all ministers to stop employees from entering government institutions unless they submit proof of vaccination or - for those who refuse to receive the vaccine - take a PCR test every three days at their own expense.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, about 2.4 million out of 3.4 million employees working at government institutions are currently vaccinated.
