The kiss of the sun, the sound of the waves, the rev of the engine...

Over the years, Marsa Alam has been an international diving destination and a hotspot for windsurfing, with visitors from across the world coming specifically to explore its deep sea and ride its waves and winds. This last weekend, however, the stunning Red Sea destination hosted an extreme sport of another kind with the inaugural OC Rally, held by Bosla and named after Oriental Coast, real estate developer OUD’s sweeping 6km beachfront seaside mega development.

The highlight of the event was the gruelling 4x4 challenge, as drivers pushed the pedal to the metal and navigate the desert landscape. The two-heat rally was won Rana El Harty, while Hany Omar and Hany Madbouly took home top spot in the normal rally race.

Outside of the races, attendees also roughed it up with an authentic seafront camping experience, indulged in live entertainment shows by the natural mangrove protectorate and enjoyed other activities amongst peers, friends and family, who were also able to take part in a special mobile photography contest. Oriental Coast encompasses a cosmopolitan community in Las Cabanas, the recently launched Matangi beach apartments, is home to Sentido Hotel and the soon-to-open Arena Hotel, amongst many others to follow.

But enough talk – we brought you here to look at some stunning images from a unique event at a unique location. Feast your eyes.
