Cocoon Cultural Centre Take ‘VRS’ Series from Cairo to Sahel

Bringing together music and drawing, ‘Virtual Response to Sound’ seeks to bring out the artist in all of us.

In the fifth volume of its Virtual Response to Sound (VRS) series, Cairo-based Cocoon Cultural Centre goes to Egypt’s North Coast for a creative beachside experience.

For strangers to the concept, the VRS series involves attendees in an audience drawing and painting their artworks before a live music performance, with bands and experimental sound aficionados each playing an hour-long set to inspire the audience’s artistic imagination.

Reliably, Cocoon Cultural Centre diversifies its own lineups to present an opportunity for new and emerging artists to showcase their own talents, and in its fifth volume, Cocoon will host Mahmoud Hafez (Pink Sea Salt), Sya Sanon, MoGuindy, Omar Shehata, Karim Serry, and Abo Sahar at La Vista Cascada Beach in Sahel.

The event will take place on Friday, 20th August, starting at 2PM, while tickets will cost EGP 550 or EGP 1,000 for a two-person booking, available via www.cocoonculture.org.
