The DJ and producer has been building towards an upcoming new album on Cairo’s Sakanat Records this year and this is one booking that will certainly do no harm to his profile.
Paris-based Egyptian DJ and producer, Mehdi M, is a man on fire right now. Having released his first EP, Break the Juno, last November, the Cairo native has crafted a unique and distinctive sound, one that has followers rubbing their hands with glee at prospect of his first full-blown album, Flash the Spirit, which is set to be released by Cairo-based label, Sakanat Records.
His reputation is growing in France, too, and his next gig pays testament to that. On Sunday 12th of September, he’s set to take to the stage at iconic Paris venue, Cabaret Sauvage, joining one hell of a lineup that includes Italian crate differ, Giammarco Orsini; Colombian DJ and founder of Maricxs Records, ISAbella; hotshot French duo, Charly & Scotch; and Taieb Chékir, French-Moroccan DJ and head honcho of Distrikt Paris, the French label hosting the event.
Not bad company to be in for a DJ and producer who has the world at his feet.
