Filmmaker Amr Salama Directs New Film Inspired by Ziad Zaza Song

Award-winning Egyptian filmmaker Amr Salama is taking a page out of rising rappers’ rhyme book with a new short film inspired by Ziaz Zaza’s song ‘60 Geneh’. The filmmaker shared a sneak peek from the film’s script titled ‘60 Geneh Bezabt’, calling it his upcoming passion project.

Salama had previously worked with superstar rapper Wegz in the Shahid series ‘Bimbo’ (2021), with was also the actor’s acting debut. The filmmaker is known for his daring artistic choices and for finding a balance between commercial and creative endeavours. His films include  ‘Bara El Manhag’ (2021), ‘Sheikh Jackson’ (2017), ‘Lamo’akhza’ (2014) and ‘Asmaa’ (2011).
