Intibint Addresses Mental Health in Self-Produced ‘Ishty Ansa'
Those born into Arab culture understand the stigma surrounding mental health – Yemeni artist Intibint battles this through her latest self-produced single, ‘Ishty Ansa.'

Yemeni artist Intibint came into the music scene in 2020 and has been determined to leave her mark since. Having grown up between Yemen and the UK, Intibint’s sound is a reflection of her third-culture upbringing. In her music, two worlds collide: traditional Yemeni sounds and Arabic lyrics mesh with both a modern approach to songwriting and contemporary subject matter.
Though Intibint has been consistently releasing music for two years, it can be said that her latest single ‘Ishty Ansa’ is an amalgamation of everything she represents. Translating to ‘I want to forget,’ the track is bilingual, self-produced, ambient, and abstract. In it, the London-based artist delves into her own struggles with mental health in an effort to battle the stigma surrounding that topic in Arab culture. This bravery is the very reason why Intibint is a vital voice on the scene.
