Shreet Cocktail | Sep 4 - 17
The playlist features new music releases by Riff, Bu Kulthoum, Koast and Nour.
In this edition of our Shreet Cocktail playlist, we pick and choose with care some of the finest releases we’ve seen from across the MENA region. Spanning various genres and sounds, the SceneNoise bi-weekly release radar has detected new music releases by Riff, Bu Kulthoum, Koast and Nour.
Egyptian music producer Riff has been releasing back to back singles for the past two weeks. Following ‘Ahmad W Abyad’, Riff released ‘MATE5SARNEEESH’. Varying greatly from its predecessor, the single sees Riff in his most angsty state with noisy, synth-heavy composition and head-banging percussions in a thrilling mix of Shaabi and heavy electronic music.
Also on the playlist is the latest single from Syrian rapper-singer Bu Kulthoum featuring Tunisian rapper Koast. Titled ‘C'est la vie’, the track is produced and mixed by Bu Kulthoum himself. Featuring relaxed drums and chillful instrumentals, the production complements the laid-back vibe of the song, allowing the two artists to lay down their verses.
More on the playlist we see new releases by Egyptian singer nour on the latest WhoMadeWho album with the track ‘A3la’, Wezza Montasser with ‘Sayeb Edy’ and Hamed Sinno with ‘Trackmarks’.
