Sound of Noise’s ‘DAWASH 002’ Sheds Light on Cairo’s Experimentalists

The experimental talent-pushing party series returns with another set of Cairo's finest unorthodox selectors.

After the success of their inaugural party a couple of months back, Cairo-based experimental label Sound of Noize are about to host ‘DAWASH 002’ this Thursday, November 10th. This edition will see A7ba-L-Jelly, AL!, Ambi, Essperx, Jana, Karim Serry and Mellek’’Taus, with Zeft Funk, Karim, and Dahb as special guests, along with Damn Hisham and Young Nada on visual duties.

Dawash will also include an open decks session at the beginning of the party, offering a chance to rising DJs and producers to showcase their talents in front of a live audience with proper sound equipment. The event will bring forth yet another thunderstorm of sound, courtesy of some of Egypt’s finest selectors who are tuned into Sound of Noize’s self-evident musical direction. Co-founder Essperx and Jana focus on unorthodox sonics from Cairo’s diggers, representing the capital’s anarchic nature.

Dawash (دوش) which translates "noise" in Arabic, is intended to be a series name in the art scene for unpreceded events, offering prime quality of music, art and visuals to stimulate our supporters and attendees. The idea is to bring the bedroom experimental producers and electronic artists together and out to the world, collaborating by audio, visual and contemporary art projects.
