In a world where rap and hip hop are on the absolute top of the commercial music food chain, it is exciting to find new, fresh musicians still going on passionately with older styles of music, giving them new blood and keeping them relevant. The Tunisian singer/songwriter REMZI is one more name to add to that roster.

Not only does REMZI make tightly produced funk pop with pristine modern production, he also injects his music with a distinct identity courtesy of his bilingualism, that really highlights where he comes from for the international audience. REMZI’s latest release has been receiving a lot of praise from listeners, and it’s easy to see why.

‘One More Time’ sees REMZI lay down some tasteful songwriting, in the form of a pair of familiar, classic progressions that effortlessly bring the ‘soul’ into the sound, along with a funky rhythm guitar delivery that offers all the delicious funk syncopation and character that lovers of the genre will immediately find familiar. There’s also REMZI’s vocals that show a nice versatility on the track. Displaying a nice range and texture, REMZI’s singing is effortless and enjoyable on ‘One More Time’.

It’s exciting stuff from a relatively new name, REMZI’s sound is promising and is getting us excited to listen to more.
