Upcoming JellyZone Gig in Cairo Brings Egypt & Palestine Together

Al Nather, El Waili and Hassan Abou Alam are just a few of the names on a bumper line-up for the return of one of Cairo's favourite parties on October 15th.

After a long absence, Cairo’s JellyZone event is back with another stellar line-up courtesy of founder, A7ba-L-Jelly, who has a knack for curating diverse and unexpected line-ups. Previous JellyZone parties have hosted the likes likes of Zuli, $$$TAG$$$, Rama, Onsy, Abo Sahar, Jordanian experimental rapper, producer, and DJ, Lil Asaf, rappers Moscow and Karim Enzo, Assyouti, MMMMMMalak, producer Rafeik, and many more, and Marwan Pablo performed for the first time as part of JellyZone party back in 2018. We even teamed up with them in 2019 for a special SceneNoise x JellyZone party in 2019, featuring El Kontessa and Nadah El Shazly

For this one, JellyZone will take place in a yet-to-be-revealed outdoor venue by the Nile on October 15th, with a very special line-up consisting of Al Nather, Hassan Abou Alam, El Waili, Purplepitch, Gahalla, Postdrone, and A7ba-L-Jelly herself, with live visuals from Sherif Sami. The curation is always done with a certain theme in mind, which allows such diverse performers to come together on one line-up and for this edition the concept of cultural appropriation will be tackled, but in a typically quirky JellyZone way. The artwork draws a path from Al Quds Mosque to the Pyramids of Egypt, symbolising the cultural and social unity between Palestine and Egypt. Stay tuned...
