Monday 22nd December

The Tap's open mic night has started to get quite the reputation, bringing the best local musicians for some freestyle jamming.

Fresh from his Privatemonkey gig in Germany, Hisham Zahran spins at Cairo Jazz Club along with Aly Goede. Arguably two of Egypt's best Tech and Minimal House DJs.

Vent founder $$$TAG$$$ (pronounced Tag Money) will be playing up to his name with a fundraising gig at the venue where proceeds will go towards People's Project (IPPs). He'll be joined by performances from Hip Hop DJ/Producer/resident 1127 and Indie Rock band Panstarrs.

Tuesday 23rd December

The brilliant vocalist and producer Nadah Shazly performs at Vent, with soulful Arabic singing on Electronic beats.

Wednesday 24th December

Defected Records' Copyright will be spinning at Electrum Records' annual Christmas Masquerade party

One of Egypt's brightest female DJ talent Mai El Sabi AKA Kidmimz takes to the decks at The Tap along with another debutant DJ Mano.

Listen to some traditional and spiritual Zar music from Upper Egypt with the Mazaher Ensemble at Makan.

Thursday 25th December

Legendary Palestinian singer and songrwiter Kamilya Jubran performs at 100 Copies Music Space

Ühm debuts at Vent along with Amr*, expect some groovy House and Techno.

A gig with a Christmas twist, head to The Tap for Tito's funky tunes.

Some 50's Rockabilly madness with The Cadillacs on Christmas Day at Cairo Jazz Club. All proceeds from the night will be donated to Charity.

Friday 26th December

Cairo's best (and we're assuming only) Tom Waits tribute band, Raindogs, perform at Room.

Maurice Louca performs his critically acclaimed post-shaabi Electronic album Benhayyi Al-Baghbaghan (Salute The Parrot) at Vent.
