Ra2ass Shanabak Returns To The Cairo Jazz Club

November means that Egyptian faces are increasingly appearing with nose-neighbours aimed at raising awareness and funds for charities. Always in the spirit of giving back to the community and setting dance floors on fire, Cairo Jazz Club's annual Ra2ass Shanabak charity night is back, bigger than ever.

On Monday November 30th, Cairo Jazz Club will be a moustachioed affair that no one should miss. Now we know some ladies may be feeling left out, but Cairo Jazz Club will have you covered and will be providing the finest moustaches in Cairo for anyone sporting a naked upper lip.

On the decks are some of Cairo’s favourite DJs, bringing the sets that will launch you into heated dance competition between your feet and your moustache. First up is the enigmatic duo of Ali Ahmed and Amr el Banna, better known as A-Squared. Bringing the dance floor into the deep, A-Squared are Tech House wranglers that will have your moustache breaking a sweat. Following them is another local favourite with arguably the deepest House sounds this side of the Nile. We speak of course of the popular DJ Shady Ezz, who will bring to the surface the deepest House tracks your moustache has ever heard.

Wrapping up the night and kicking it to another gear, is the always amazing Techno authority known to lovers of Cairene dance floors as Baher Eid. With a roundup of the hottest Techno House tunes ever assembled into one set, dancers will have reason to skip the gym this week, as a Baher Eid set is complete workout all on its own.

The entrance fee at this year’s event is set at 20 LE, and all the money raised will be donated to Helm - a non-profit organisation that aims to promote employment and equality for Egypt’s 15-17 million people living with a disability. It isn’t every day that the simple act of growing a moustache or dancing can improve the lives of others, but on this night both will be true providing for a night of moustachioed memories that you won’t want to miss.
