Foreigners Can Now Take a COVID-19 PCR Test in Egyptian Airports Upon Arrival

Foreigners coming into Egypt through Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, Marsa Alam and Taba International airports can now do a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival that will cost them USD 30.

News that a PCR test will be necessary to enter Egypt from abroad has caused some worries over how they can fit it into their schedule, especially at short notice. And if you're particularly slow and have only just learned about it on the flight over, just now, while reading this article, then don’t sweat it. Foreigners flying into Egypt at Hurghada, Sharm El-Sheikh, Marsa Alam and Taba International Airports will be able to take a PCR COVID-19 test upon arrival, and it’ll only cost them USD 30.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation's decision will take effect starting September 1st pending further updates on the state of the Coronavirus.
