Egyptian drama film ‘Aisha Can’t Fly Anymore’ has won five awards at the Final Cut Venice, which took place as part of the 2024 Venice Biennale. The film also won the Best Film in Post-Production Award.
‘Aisha Can’t Fly Anymore’ is directed by Egyptian filmmaker Morad Mostafa and follows a Somali woman’s life in Cairo, as she begins to immerse herself in the hard underbelly of the city’s criminal world. The film sheds light on the plight of African communities living in Egypt.
