Egypt is Getting Its First Export Academy

Plans to establish Egypt’s first export academy are underway. Looking to encourage trade between Arab countries, the academy will train exporters as well as provide export advisory services in Egypt and across the region.

The Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El Sa'eed, discussed the execution plan with the Egyptian Exporters Association. Sa’eed stressed that the academy's launch announcement should take place at the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Bank in June 2022.  The announcement will include a specific training plan, target numbers, curriculum, and the exactly targeted sectors that need further development.

Moreover, to monitor the academy's efforts, there will be assessment criteria so that the goals are met, and help ensure more success for Egypt's export trading sectors.
