The project has already digitised around 8,461 books and 625 magazines from the General Egyptian Book Authority.
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has joined forces with the Ministry of Culture on a project to digitise Egypt’s cultural heritage.
The project will digitally preserve all kinds of Egyptian cultural content in order to make it as accessible as possible to internet users, and educate people from around the world. Around 110 books, 17 issues of the Contemporary Art magazine, 489 photographs, and 1,710 scientific dissertations from the Academy of Arts have already been archived, as well as 8,461 books and 625 magazines from the General Egyptian Book Authority.
Multiple recordings from Cairo Opera House concerts, including audio, video and images, will soon be available on the new digital platform.
